Alaska Workforce Safety Week 2027

Safe. Trained. Ready. Alaska Workforce Safety Week is a statewide week of free and low-cost safety training, February 8–13, 2027. Training providers, vendors and suppliers across Alaska host hands-on trainings and events at their own locations and online, turning safety expertise already here in Alaska into real credentials and a safer workforce.

Alaska ranks 3rd in the nation for workplace fatalities: 7.1 deaths per 100,000 full-time workers in 2024, more than double the U.S. rate of 3.3 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, 2024). Safety Week brings training to where Alaska’s workers already are.

For workers and crews

Find free or steeply discounted trainings in communities across the state and online, and earn certificates where offered. Register yourself or your whole crew in one checkout. Registration opens Monday, December 14, 2026.

For training providers

Host a free or discounted training at your location or online. ASA handles the promotion and registration. Apply to host a training by Friday, January 15, 2027.
