There’s a lot of mechanized stuff at a mine, and that means a lot of opportunity for you. Equipment operators drive a wide range of heavy equipment used in the mining process, such as tractor-trailer combinations, loaders, graders, excavators, dozers, forklifts, mobile cranes, large capacity shovels and trucks. For the kid who loved getting in the sandbox with big, yellow toy bulldozers.

Education and training needed: High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred
