North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC)

NSTC

The North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC), managed by the Alaska Safety Alliance, develops and maintains high-quality, standardized health, safety and environmental training courses. These computer-based programs can be accessed by workers 24/7 through ASA Online. NSTC training is accepted on the North Slope and industrial sites throughout Alaska.

NSTC was founded in 1997 when BP and ARCO field managers on Alaska’s North Slope signed the NSTC Health, Safety, and Environmental Guidelines. Effective January 1, 1998, the NSTC Unescorted Course became the mandatory, minimum requirement for all North Slope operator companies and contractor personnel. Today, NSTC is a collaborative training effort funded by ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc., Eni Petroleum Co Inc., Hilcorp Alaska LLC, and Oil Search (Alaska), LLC, a subsidiary of Santos Limited.
