Geologist / Geological Engineer

Got science cred and love being outside?

Love rocks? Good news: mining is all about rocks. Geologists/geological engineers play a part in all aspects of mining exploration, discovery, evaluation and production cycles. During exploration, geologists are responsible for finding new material sources that will become the mines of the future. On the mine site, the geologist is responsible for daily control over the mining activities, assuring that the miners are in the right places, that good sampling is carried out and that the mine is on the right track. For scientists who love to discover what’s under the surface.

Education and training needed: High school diploma or GED; bachelor degree in geologic engineering or geology
