Heavy Equipment Operator

You spent your childhood preparing for this.

You know you’re in a serious machine when it has a ladder to get into the driver’s seat. Operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties. Excludes Crane and Tower Operators. If you like to actually see the progress you made at the end of every day, climb the ladder into this career.
