Performs general labor, site repair, collection of eggs, care of young fish or shellfish, then releasing them into the water. Work is hands-on and performed outdoors. Many hatcheries are in beautiful, remote locations, so you would likely be living the romanticized, off-grid Alaska lifestyle. This is a great entry-level position and offers significant opportunity to acquire knowledge and experience valuable to achieving advanced fisheries positions.
